The three European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, EIOPA and ESMA – ESAs) held a joint public event in the format of a technical discussion about the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) on 6 February 2023 with over 2000 participants.
By assisting the supervisory community and the sector in reducing the risks and capturing the benefits of the digital transformation, notably through the implementation of the DORA, the ESAs look forward to further increasing the operational resilience of the financial industry. The regulatory community is steadfastly devoted to the DORA implementation’s success since it is particularly important and cross-sectoral.
A high-level overview of the policy mandates was given before participants were given the chance to voice their views by senior experts from the three ESAs.
The ICT risk management, incident reporting, information register, and criticality standards policy criteria were all covered.
Every policy mandate will be the subject of an open public consultation during which time all concerned parties will have the opportunity to submit written comments on each draft mandate.
