L’AFG publie un livre blanc sur les Innovations technologiques : Quelles stratégies pour les SGP ?

On 6 February 2023, the Association Française de la Gestion financière (AFG) issued a press release, informing about the launch of a dedicated website (at the time of writing only available in French) entitled „White Book Technological Innovations“ on strategies for asset management companies (AMCs).
This web-based, interactive white paper is based on testimonials from digital transformation professionals within numerous AMCs and aims to be operational and forward-looking, supported by user cases to help management companies in their strategic thinking and digitization processes.
The white paper addresses all the strategic challenges of the digital transformation (evolution of organizations, investment in human capital, deployment of new technologies on the entire value chain). It is also interested in the perspectives offered by blockchain technologies and crypto-assets and devotes a large part to data, its mastery and proper operation in an ever more competitive environment, which offers real opportunities for AMCs.
This white paper is currently composed of 11 individual dossiers, independent of each other, which deal with the following topics:
– Organizational strategies and technological innovations
– Adaptation of human capital and change management
– Data, the „fuel at the heart of the AMCs reactor“
– Protecting its systems against digital attacks
– New technological uses in the investment cycle
– Improve the efficiency of support functions
– Introduction to crypto-assets, blockchain (DLT) and decentralized finance (DeFi)
– Impacts of blockchain in business processes
– Crypto-asset management offers
– 5-10 year outlook of the asset management industry in France
Each dossier, available in free access as a set of dedicated sub-websites, is intended to evolve and to be supplemented- according to the evolution of innovations, business practices and regulations.
This white paper also contains recommendations divided into two categories of actions:
